Small Business Administration (SBA)

SCORE is a Resource Partner of the Small Business Administration.

While perhaps best known for its loan programs, the Small Business Administration offers information and a variety of programs designed to assist small business.

State of Minnesota

The State of Minnesota offers a variety of online and print resources to assist small business owners. Among the publications every startup business should review is " A Guide to Starting a Business in Minnesota," available as a download, a CD, or a printed edition.

The Secretary of State's office provides information about required business filings and renewals. Filings and fees may be submitted online, by mail, or in person.

Business Planning Center (BPC)

A joint venture of Minnesota SCORE and the SBA, the Business Plannning Center provides a variety of tools to help you plan your business and produce a useful business plan.

James J. Hill Business Reference Library

The James J. Hill Business Reference library, located in St. Paul, is a private non-profit business reference library. It houses a world-class collection of practical business information resources and is considered one of the most comprehensive business libraries in the country.

The library provides access to, and assistance in finding, the practical business information business owners need to succeed. Access to the library is free and open to the public.
