Small business ownership makes entrepreneurial dreams a reality; transforms individual lives; builds financial wealth; shapes futures; increases commerce in our communities; and is the engine behind the health and growth of the nation's economy.
St. Paul SCORE is part of the national nonprofit SCORE Association dedicated to entrepreneurial education and the formation, growth and success of the nation's small businesses. Our public service mission is to provide business counseling to help entrepreneurs and small businesses evaluate and prepare plans, stabilize, grow, innovate and succeed. SCORE volunteers serve as "Counselors to America's Small Business."
St. Paul SCORE provides free and confidential business counseling tailored to meet the needs of small businesses in the St. Paul metro area, western Wisconsin, and the Lake Superior Region. We also offer, for a modest fee, business seminars for both start-up entrepreneurs and established small business owners.
The men and women of St. Paul SCORE are real-world professionals with time-tested knowledge who donate thousands of hours to help small businesses succeed. Our volunteers hail from every facet of the business community. Some have worked at large corporations such as 3M, Deluxe, Honeywell, and Wells Fargo. Some have served in our military or worked for educational institutions, or for local or federal government. Others have spent years cultivating their own small business. Our counselors are experts in such areas as accounting, finance, marketing, management and business plan preparation.
